Meet The Staff
My name is Caroline and I live in Farmhill with my Husband Daren, 2 Children; Tom & Lola and our dog Toby.
I have a level 3 qualification in Early Years and have worked in Playgroups, Children Centres, main stream and special education schools in Gloucestershire for the past 9 years. I’m currently studying to complete my Level 5 Early Years Senior Practitioner Diploma which I hope to complete in 2022. I am the designated safeguarding lead for the Playgroup.
I am extremely passionate about creating a safe environment where children are free to explore their curiosity. We are very much child-centred, with the foundations of our planning being the children’s interests so that they really engage with all the activities and opportunities on offer. My hope for every child in our care is that they leave us with a love of learning – excited to take on their next challenge of starting school! We encourage an environment in which young children can grow and develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually but most of all have fun whilst learning.
My Name is Vicky Davis. I live in Bussage with my husband and three children.
I have an NNEB qualification which I gained in 1999 at The Norland College. I have many years of experience working in early years, as a nanny, in nurseries and my previous post as a Play leader in a local playgroup.
I am very passionate about the well-being of the children and really enjoy working in the early years. I feel privileged to be caring for your children, seeing them grow and develop.
I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and becoming part of such a dedicated team.
My name is Bryony, I’ve lived in Leonard Stanley all my life as well as my parents, I also have an older sister and 2 cats that complete my family.
I have a Level 3 Qualification in Early Years and have worked with children aged from 5 months up to 6 years which has provided me with a range of experience. I’ve also attended SEND training and been involved in the EHCP process.
I’m passionate about providing an inclusive practice to all children and supporting children with their development and well-being.
Hi, my name is Danielle and I have previously been the key person to red group at the Playgroup
It has always been my dream to work with children, and i have been lucky enough to work at Kings Stanley Playgroup since I left school in 2016. Previous to that, I also carried out my work experience and volunteer work at the Playgroup too.
In the 3 years which I have worked at the playgroup, I have been lucky enough to complete my Level 2 apprenticeship which I received my certificate for in May 2018.
I look forward to welcoming back some familiar faces and meeting some new ones too.
Hi my name is Hannah Tremlin and I live in Kings Stanley village with my husband and our three children. All three of my children have attended Kings Stanley Playgroup so I hold the playgroup dearly in my heart. I am really happy to now be part of the team.
I have experience of working in school settings and early years settings. My previous role was a Family Support Worker at a local children’s centre. I worked closely with families’ through group and outreach work. I specialised in working with young parents.
I am a holder of a Bachelor Degree in Psychology which helped me to understand child development and the importance of learning through play. Through play, children develop language skills, their emotions and creativity, social and intellectual skills. Whilst working at the playgroup I will also be studying at university to gain my level 7 in Early Years with Early Years Teacher Status (PgCert).
Currently on leave
Hi my name is Ellie McCombie I live in Coaley, near Dursley and have 2 adult daughters called Lauren and Alice.
I am passionate about working with early years children and supporting them to make the progress they deserve and need ready to start school. It has been proved that learning through play, with active, engaging and relevant activities provides the best and most consistent results for this age group. I enjoy the team feel of planning such activities with other early years professionals, so that we can come up with ideas together, that we know our children will enjoy and learn from.
I gained Qualified Teacher Status in July 2007, following a four year primary teaching degree at the University of the West of England in Bristol. My degree specialism was Early Years so I have received in depth training on how to teach and support children within the Early Years age group and how the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum relates to this. I also have many years’ experience of teaching children using the Early Years Framework both in schools and in children’s centres in Gloucestershire.
